October 17-18, 2023
Join us for an immersive trip to Cape Canaveral for an adventure in space exploration!
Who its for:
Students grade 4th and up. Parents and other children of participating students may attend all of the tours.
What it is:
This is an immersive, hands-on educational program for students interested in the study of space.
We will start with Kennedy Space Center, the epicenter of space education for the general public. Your student will participate in a private class with the NASA Space Education Center being presented with engineering design for aerospace and rocketry. Students will model the NASA engineering design process by working collaboratively in teams to design, build, and test their ideas. Our educational experience will continue for the rest of the day exploring the many exhibits and offerings of Kennedy Space Center.
The following day will consist of several private tours onto the Air Force Station for an in depth study of the history of space, the aerospace industry and rocketry. We will finish our day with an application of all we have learned through a rocket building presentation and workshop. Each participant will build their own low powered rocket.
